A recently published 2018 Author's Guild survey revealed Amazon controls approximately 72% of the online book market. The study also found royalties were down for most authors by 11% compared to 2013 data. Per ESE, Inc. today, "Not Far From The Tree" is bucking the trend. Due to the Company's focus on Aggregator diversification, Amazon's online market share of the self-published Memoir written by ESE, Inc. CEO Eric Simmons was 52% in 2018 with the Company's other Aggregators claiming the remainder. Also, the book's year over year royalties was up 142.3%! In 2019, Amazon's share remains at 52% while the book's royalties are up 86.2% over 2018. During the first year of the book's release (2017), Amazon's share was 90%.
"Our diversification is having a positive impact on the book's bottom line," said Simmons.
