ESE, Inc. revealed today; it has been testing a new metadata book description for CEO Eric Simmons’ Memoir, “Not Far From The Tree.” Since the testing began, the book has been on Amazon.com’s “Best Seller” list four times in August, with the digital version of the manuscript making the list twice. Simmons is convinced the book’s increased sales and rankings during the month, are directly tied to the change.
“We’ve added more impactful information early on in the description, such as my first encounter with then segregationist Alabama Governor George Corley Wallace, to get prospective buyers’ attention. The new description, I feel, is much stronger in terms of answering the question, “Why should I buy this book?” said Simmons
