ESE, Inc. recently analyzed its, “Sales Portfolio,” as CEO Eric Simmons describes it, to assess the impact its various Aggregators are having on book sales. The study took into account total retail unit sales, exclusive of Library sales, of Simmons’ ESETOMES branded books, “Not Far From The Tree,” and, “#HTSP - How to Self-Publish” through September 2017 to September 19, 2019. In 2017, 89% of the Company’s book sales came from Amazon. Today, Amazon contributes 46% towards purchases, with 54% now coming from the Company’s other Aggregators. Over the period, the Company’s book sales are up 173%!
“Similar to stocks, I’m a big proponent of having a mixed portfolio - which in this case, is Aggregators. Our sales growth clearly shows our introduction of additional Partners has had a huge impact on sales! When one of our Aggregator’s sales are down, the others are providing an offset. There’s no doubt, this “ubiquitous approach” is paying dividends and is enabling us to grow our business in the highly volatile book marketplace,” said Simmons.
